Start with the reader promise. Confirm that the title, introduction, headings, and conclusion answer the same question and that the article does not quietly change scope.
Check each factual claim for a nearby citation, matching date and unit, and a source that actually supports the wording. Downgrade or remove claims that the evidence cannot carry.
Test every internal and external link, image path, canonical route, metadata field, and CTA. A production build should succeed with the same content that passed editorial review.
Record the checks and the reviewer. A short dated preflight creates a useful audit trail and makes recurring defects easier to fix in the publishing routine.
